Mr.Sivasamboo Parimelalaghan

Sivasamboo Parimelalaghan is a retired accountant whose life has been guided by a deep commitment to serving disadvantaged communities through education, social development, and community service.

Having lived in the United Kingdom for many years, he observed how access to education and equal opportunities enabled many people from modest and underprivileged backgrounds to build successful and fulfilling lives. These experiences reinforced his belief that talent and determination exist everywhere, but opportunities do not. This conviction inspired him to dedicate his time and efforts to improving the lives of people in his homeland by expanding access to quality education, particularly during the early years of childhood.

Sivasamboo firmly believes that early childhood education is the foundation for long-term social and economic progress. He has consistently supported initiatives that provide educational opportunities to children from disadvantaged backgrounds, viewing education as the most effective means of breaking the cycle of poverty and creating lasting change.

Beyond his educational work, he has been actively involved in media initiatives that promote arts, culture, and public awareness of important political and social issues affecting his homeland. His commitment to community service has also been strengthened through his religious beliefs and his active participation in charitable activities associated with Hindu temples, where he has supported programmes that benefit children and families.

Throughout his years of voluntary service, Sivasamboo has held several leadership positions, including serving as Chair of the Education Development Consortium UK (EDC UK) and as a Trustee of the Newlife Educational Aid Trust (NEAT SL). In these roles, he has worked closely with educators, community leaders, and charitable organisations to promote educational development and improve opportunities for underserved communities.
