    Sooriasegaram, born on January 1942, educated in Physical Sciences and Engineering, worked in research and as an Engineer, in Sri Lanka, UK and in the Middle East for over 50 years and presently since 2009 living and working again in Sri Lanka on a voluntary basis in social, education and development projects with local professionals. Currently President of Education Development Consortium also President of Jaffna Citizens Forum, an informal unregistered organisation.
